CREDIT
CARD FRAUD ALERT!!!
Attention Members:
Credit Union members have been receiving computer generated telephone
calls over the last several days stating that their VISA or Mastercard
debit or credit card was compromised. This call is an attempt to steal
credit card information such as card number, pin number, and the 3 digit
security code on the back of the card.
THIS IS A SCAM
known as “vishing” which is common during the holiday season. Please be
aware that neither State Employees Credit Union nor Falcon Fraud Manager
(our fraud monitoring service) will ever ask for credit card numbers or
pin numbers as they already have the necessary information on file.
They may ask for mother’s maiden name, the last 4 digits of your social
security number or date of birth as verification of your identity. If
you did not initiate the call
DO NOT give out
your confidential information as these scams only work if you provide
this data.
If you ever receive one of these phone calls, and
or question the identity of the caller please hang up and call the
credit union at (505) 983-7328 or 1-800-983-7328.
